Informations on producer
From the Upper Tiber Valley, an example of modernity and history, elegance and practicality, where producing quality wines seems almost a moral obligation.
Blasi Cellar is more than just a winery; it’s a story passed down through generations, a passion that evolves over time. Located in picturesque Umbertide, our winery is lovingly managed by our family, now engaged in the transition to organic conversion. Our vineyards, stretching from the plains north of Umbertide to the surrounding hills, are a treasure of unique microclimates expertly leveraged to ensure optimal vine development and the production of honest, original, and highly appreciated wines.
The wines of Blasi Cellar embody the gastronomic soul, with a simple yet swift approach that enhances their drinkability. Authentic and distinct in aromas and flavors, our wines incorporate an international touch that harmoniously intertwines with local traditions.
The production process takes place in two distinct and complementary environments. Vinification and fermentation occur in the modern technological winery, built in 2017, offering every technical refinement to ensure continuity and quality, both of the product and the working environment. Maturation and aging take place in the historic winery, founded in 1742, using restored old barrels and an underground corridor with numerous Pupitres for yeast maturation in the traditional method.
Blasi Cellar’s primary mission is to produce high-quality wines, fully respecting the territory. We also use grape varieties not typical of Umbria, but considered ideal to balance the character of our wines. Blasi Cellar is part of a network of wineries that promote ‘ethical viticulture,’ with the goal of respecting traditions, values, soils, and people connected to the world of wine.
